"Active ICs" provides a wide range of acoustic and instrumentation solutions. TECHNOLOGY Oligon Ltd is a provider of novel Active IC products that deliver next generation integrated sensory capability through direct integration of CMOS electronics with MEMS based Transducers. Oligon Ltd has established a proprietary process which allows the fabrication of MEMS transducers using CMOS compatible processes and materials. For the first time this enables industry leading single chip integrated CMOS/MEMS product solutions to be fabricated in a single commercial IC foundry thus avoiding the current multi foundry and multi-chip packaging solutions currently offered. Integration of the MEMS based transducer and CMOS processing electronics allows industry benchmark size and cost to be achieved. The process is CMOS independent allowing multiple electronic design solutions to be fabricated and subsequently enhanced with MEMS elements. The Active IC consists of the following building Blocks -
The first product in the Active IC family is the AUDIO IC. This highly compact integrated microphone design offers the ability to provide chip level and package level silicon microphones with and without amplifiers and A/D conversion.
